Entangled between wind and water
Broadside delivered, ballast shifts
Precarious stem to stern
Into the murky depths
Hopelessly befouled
Reaching, cutting
Float, weightless
Slipping

Excellent words to go with your picture. Your words brought back one time when we, on Rainbow Runner were caught in a terrific wind. We set the sails so they defied each other ( there’s a name for it, back winded or something) and there we sat, calmly waiting out the fierce winds. Your dad knew what he was doing. That’s for sure.
Great story, thanks for sharing it!
What an intriguing fiery other-worldly image! It speaks of tumult and strength, of action and anchor, deserts and oceans… terrific.
Thank you for this, and for always checking in!
